According to this poll, Mitt Romney is in VERY good shape as he gears up for the 2012 elections.  My feelings have always been that Mitt maintains a steady improvement, never becoming stale or losing credibility with the general public.  If he is only 4 points behind Obama, with a margin of error, how will he be polling throughout 2011 when more Americans come to know of this man’s credentials??

Very good news in this poll.

    How about a Romney/Gingrich ticket in 2012?

Newt is an ideas man and he has the right ideas. I think it will be someone dynamic whoever it is. Mitt won’t choose Palin. It will need to be someone with substance as well as electability.

Paulee, I believe it will happen. I don’t think it a coincidence that Mitt is where he is in the public’s eye.

This is the ONLY poll I have seen that shows Romney ahead of Huckabee as front runner. All PPP polling consistently over the past 10 months showed Gov. Huckabee AHEAD of Romney 9 months out of 10. All also show him leading among independents and doing best against Obama. New FOX poll just released yesterday show Huckabee leading the pack. Time is on Huck’s side also as his popularity (and support base) is growing daily with his radio broadcast now in almost 600 stations) and his FOX weekend show…..Huck in the HOUSE….the White House, that is….2012!!!!!

Linda, the only poll that had Huckabee in the lead really was the PPP polls. But his past polling is irrelevant since his poll numbers dramatically decreased after the cop killings and the media attention to the clemency he granted the killer. He is done for 2012, that is why he is getting fat again not doing ANYTHING to keep himself a viable contender.

Let go Linda, he’s not running. The last thing Mr. Thin Skin wants is to answer questions constantly about his soft on crime positions and the outcome of some of those pardons.
