Today Mitt Romney made history as the first Non-Incumbent to win both Iowa and New Hampshire. As Mitt Romney is already leading in the South Carolina polling, it’s going to be very difficult for his opponents to stop him from winning there just 11 days from now. The media will no doubt try to spin this somehow to manipulate the minds of the viewers into thinking that this win was not as significant because Romney didn’t win by a larger margin. I just looked at the polling saw that Romney is at 39% with Paul far behind with 23%. That’s a 17% lead! No small win there, especially given that Jon Huntsman has been living there since he announced running in July, and has been running negative ads against Romney there for months. This should be, no this IS, a HUGE loss for Huntsman who declared after a sad 3rd place finish “on to South Carolina!” Hm, what do you think? I think Huntsman is in need of a HUGE paradigm shift.
After watching Mitt’s victory speech Jim DeMint said this on Mark Levin’s show:
“I was just sitting here listening to the Romney acceptance speech, and he’s hitting a lot of the hot buttons for me about balancing the budget, and frankly I’m a little concerned about the few Republicans who have criticized some of what I consider free market principles here,”
Later in the program, DeMint predicted a Romney win in his state:
“Some of the others who might have had an advantage here have really crossed paths, crossed ways with some Republicans as they have criticized free enterprise concepts. It’s possible Gingrich or Santorum might make another run at it here. I just don’t know. I know Perry has been spending some time here, but he doesn’t seem to be getting a lot of traction. And I think after Iowa and New Hampshire, it’s going to be tough.”
On to South Carolina for Team Romney! Here’s Mitt’s victory speech below:
