Mitt Romney Favored on Intrade To Win South Carolina Primary

As I was frequently checking out the Intrade.com numbers during the Iowa Caucus last night, I couldn’t figure out for the life of me why so many people were betting (89%) that Mitt Romney would win the Iowa Caucus.  These betters must have been people with people on the ground, as did Karl Rove, who were able to crunch the numbers from inside based on individual precincts, and who was doing better in those precincts that had not yet reported.  Well, it turns out that the Intrade betters were putting their money on the right candidate.

If the Intrade numbers are any indication of reality, and they continue  as they are, Mitt Romney could end up winning South Carolina, thereby winning the first 3 states in a row….assuming he is going to win New Hampshire of course.
