Ann Romney on Being a Mother

In this interview Ann Romney explains that she didn’t even know how to change a diaper when she had her first child.  She says that Mitt had to show her how to change a diaper(my wife can relate)!  She talks of human civility and how to deal with political criticism as well as the decision she and Mitt will make together regarding 2012.

She says it is a big decision and a HUGE sacrifice so they’ll need to wait for at least a year before making that decision.

You can watch the interview here.

(Update: Ann Romney’s interview responding to Hilary Rosen’s attacks on stay at home moms.)

Can you even begin to imagine Ann Romney saying ‘this is the first time in my adult life that I’m proud to be an American.”?

No way Daisy! It’s time to bring America back!

Has it occurred to you that the experience of “being an American” was vastly different for the two women you’re referring to?

Yes, one, Ann Romney practices gratitude for what is. The other, Michelle Obama practices resentment for what is.

I’m so blessed that my ancestors came to this country so that they, and their decedents, could be free. They bravely left behind differing levels of tyranny — enslavement — for the gift of freedom. All of our ancestors who did not come to this country have been enslaved to one degree or another. Some of us came to this country as slaves and then found freedom. We all, no matter our status once here, have reason to be grateful to be Americans.

Michelle Obama’s resentful failure to recognize the fact that though her ancestors may have been brought here as slaves, they were sold into slavery by her African ancestors and by her husband’s Arabian ancestors in the slave trade. Had they not been fortunate enough to be sold as slaves in the USA or Europe, MO and her husband’s ancestors would likely have been sold as slaves in Africa or Arabia where slavery, although outlawed by the ‘evil’ English colonialists, is still practiced. Her people were evilly enslaved in this country — and — they were also emancipated in this country. Something that has still not occurred in Africa or Arabia.

Bottom line: Had their enslaved ancestors not come to the USA, there is no way Obama could have risen past anything but dictator of an African regime. Which is, of course, what he’s aiming for here, but he will fail in his efforts, as will she, thank God.
